It’s two weeks since I did my interview on Jonathan Cowap’s BBC Radio York morning show (21 January) and I’m only just getting round to blogging about it. There just aren’t enough hours in the day. But you can listen to it for another 11 days on iPlayer. The programme started at 0900, and I was on around 1010-1030. Since then, it’s been snowing up here on and off for two weeks; the ground is rock hard; and I’ve got my annual bout of flu. Rats! I had planned to get a flu jab this year, but didn’t quite get around to it. Still, the newspapers are reporting the wrong strains of flu were included in the jab, so I guess I would have got exactly the virus I’ve got now anyway. I’ve swallowed enough lemsips, cough mix and paracetamol to stem several bouts of flu and it still hasn’t gone! Indeed, when I woke this morning, it felt like it was starting all over again…
